Privacy Policy

Grubble AI (“Grubble”, “we”, “us”) provides an iOS application that helps people find nearby restaurant deals. This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

We collect only what the app needs to function.

  • Account identifiers. When you sign up, we store the email address and password you provide with our authentication provider (Supabase). We also store a user ID (UUID) that we use to link your saved deals and activity to your account.
  • Approximate location. While the app is in use, we request coarse device location (accuracy approximately 100 meters) solely to search for restaurant deals near you. Location is sent to our server for a single “nearby deals” query and is not stored longitudinally tied to your account.
  • Product interaction events. We log anonymized events about how you interact with deals — views, saves, unsaves, redemptions, and shares — to understand which deals are useful and to improve the app. Each event is linked to your user ID when you are signed in.
  • Content you create. Deals you save, dietary preferences and favorite cuisines you set, and similar profile settings.

We do not collect precise location, contacts, photos, health data, financial information, or advertising identifiers. We do not track you across other apps or websites.

2. How we use information

  • To find and display restaurant deals relevant to where you are.
  • To sign you in and keep your saved deals in sync across devices.
  • To measure which deals and features are helpful so we can improve the product.
  • To prevent abuse of the service, such as rate limiting or blocking automated traffic.

3. Who we share information with

We share data only with the service providers that power the app:

  • Supabase, which hosts our database and handles authentication. Account credentials, saved deals, and product interaction events are stored on Supabase.
  • Google Places, which supplies the list of restaurant locations near your coordinates. The iOS app does not call Google directly — our server forwards the query so your device identifiers are not exposed to Google.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising.

4. Data retention

We keep account data (email, profile, saved deals) until you delete your account. Product interaction events are retained for up to 24 months in aggregate form to power analytics, then purged. Server logs containing IP addresses are retained for no more than 30 days for abuse-prevention purposes.

5. Deleting your account and data

You can delete your Grubble account and all associated data from within the app: Profile → Account → Delete Account. This action is immediate and irreversible. When you delete your account we remove your authentication record, your profile, your saved deals, and your activity events from our database.

If you are unable to use the in-app deletion flow, email zach@tryterminus.com from the email address associated with the account and we will process the request within 30 days.

6. Children

Grubble is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored with our providers using industry-standard access controls. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a breach that affects you, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, and to object to certain uses. To exercise those rights, email zach@tryterminus.com. You can also revoke location access at any time in iOS Settings.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be posted here with an updated effective date, and, where required by law, notified to you in the app.
